Supported Living is a program that assists participants to live successfully in their own homes and encourage them through positive support to become more self-sufficient. Men and women in the Supported Living Programs vary in their level of independence and are of age 18 and above. Residential settings include apartment complexes, shared-small single-family homes, and homes owned by clients. Levels of staff support are tailored to each individual’s changing needs for assistance. The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) , in collaboration with Life Works, establishes service hours for each individual through a contract. These hours range from five per week up to twenty-four hours per day.
